Phoenix-based Internet consulting firm Mighty Interactive has received three Pollie Awards for online political campaign excellence. Given each year by the American Association of Political Consultants, the Pollies are the most prestigious awards in politics.
Each of Mighty's awards are in recognition of the firm's work on behalf of Yes on 400, the Maricopa County transportation initiative that was approved by voters last November. Mighty Interactive worked closely with Highground, Inc., the political consulting firm that created the campaign strategy and managed the Yes on 400 initiative.
Awards included:
"Good online execution helps wins campaigns," said Jason Baer, Mighty Interactive President. "As more and more people realize this, these awards become increasingly competitive," continued Baer. "We are delighted to receive recognition nationally for our Yes on 400 work."
The Highground and Mighty Interactive team awards follow the firms' 2002 collaboration on the "Joe Arizona" campaign, which also netted several Pollie trophies.
"We were very proud of our Joe Arizona effort as well, but this time is even better because we won the election, and the awards competition is much tougher," stated Baer.
To underscore the competitive nature of the Pollie Awards, in the "Most Innovative Use of Technology" and "Best Use of Email" categories, Mighty Interactive was bested out by the Bush/Cheney online reelection effort.
"To get beat in two open categories by the President's online program that had almost limitless resources - we'll take that," said Baer.
