Staying Up to SpeedNew Email Newsletter Keeps Businesspeople Current on Fast-Paced Internet Marketing Trends

Tempe, Arizona
February, 2004

It's baaack. NASDAQ is up. Internet advertising is the fastest growing form of marketing in the world. Google's going public. New technologies. The second Internet boom is upon us, and it's just as confusing as it was the first time.

Considering that interactive marketing is an increasingly important part of the communications mix for many companies, how are non-Internet professionals supposed to stay up to speed with the resurgent, fast-paced interactive marketing business?

There are several publications and Web sites devoted to Internet marketing techniques and trends, but who has time to read all of them? After all, interactive is just a fraction of the total responsibilities of most marketing and business pros.

The Mighty Messenger
To keep businesspeople current on these important issues, Phoenix-based Internet marketing agency Mighty Interactive is publishing a bi-weekly email newsletter - The Mighty Messenger - that includes links to the four or five most important Internet marketing stories over the previous two weeks, and summaries from Mighty Interactive senior staff on why those developments are important, and their implications for most businesses.

Published every other Thursday, the Mighty Messenger is free and can be received by subscribing online at www.mightyinteractive.com.

"We've had phenomenal response to the Mighty Messenger. Our clients and other businesspeople know it's an imperative to stay current with online trends, but they don't have the time to wade through every article and column that's published each day," said Jason Baer, Mighty Interactive President. "It's our job to know more about Internet marketing than anybody else, and if we can make it easier to keep other people up to speed as a byproduct, we're delighted to do it," stated Baer.

Subjects Cover the Gamut
Recent Mighty Messenger editions have included articles on:

  • Broadcast quality TV commercials on the Web
  • Google launching an email advertising network
  • Increase in Web usage, but reduction in growth rate
  • "From" line being more important factor in email marketing success than "Subject" line
  • "It gives me a quick view of the most important topics that impact my business. It provides a great starting point for more in-depth research on trends - but the summaries that Mighty Interactive writes really help when you don't have time to read the entire article," said subscriber Brad Beranek, Director of Loyalty and Web Services for Circle K Stores, Inc.

    Subscribers Increasing
Currently 350 subscribers receive the Mighty Messenger and new sign up requests are being received daily.

"Considering it's free, easy to digest, and not too frequent, we believe this publication can attract a very large subscriber base," Baer said. "If that happens, terrific. If not, we're happy to provide a service to an audience of any size," he continued.

The next edition of the Mighty Messenger is scheduled for February 5.

Getting results

  • Viack

VIACK, a Scottsdale-based leading provider of secure online meeting software had success with search engine optimization and pay-per-click programs driving traffic to their FREE 15-day "test drive" Web page, but had little success getting people to sign up.
