Search Engine Land: How I Love Thee!

Arizona Internet Marketing Firms - Search Engine Land

Whenever I look for what’s new in the SEM world, my first stop is Search Engine Land. When you first stumble upon this magical land’s homepage, I guarantee you will always find something interesting and pertinent to the industry. Today, that topic is about Google’s Universal Search, and how people are finding “unique” search results, such as the Raccoon-Dog instance here. Below, you will find more information about the new search Wikia I wrote about earlier in the week, and how Google Maps wants to build out its non-US data.

As you can see from the Universal Search entry, the information on Search Engine Land is not written like the typical “all news and no play” newsletters; they like to have fun! Search Engine Land likes to find the interesting and creative industry news, along with the serious and critical news our industry needs to survive.

Within the specific Lands, such as Google Land and Yahoo Land, you really get to dig into specific aspects of the industry. There is more information crammed into this one news source about the online marketing industry than anyone ever wants to know, but I like to know that I can go to one place to find it all. Also, when I look for blog topics to write about, I start here. Search Engine Land is able to tell me what I want to know about a topic, without getting too techy or lengthy. I don’t have time to read a four page article; I have time to read a couple paragraphs. If I really want to know more, I will look further into Search Engine Land or Google the topic and research it more at my own leisure.

So happy searching and visit Search Engine Land as often as possible. You’ll be glad you did!

P.S. - Don’t forget to sign up for the “Get Search News Recaps!” newsletter which sends all the industry information to your inbox, and Columns Land which has more specific topic columns, such as 100% Organic and Just Behave.
